March’s meeting will be held on Monday the 17th, 7pm. In addition to the in-person option, a Zoom link will be available

March’s guest speaker will be master craftsman, luthier and teacher Don Kawalek. A New Jersey native and boyhood friend of Bob Sheppard, he now makes his home in West Virginia. There he builds banjos, guitars, mandolins, lap dulcimers, hammered duclimers and uilleann pipes. Come join us on Monday when Don will share the craft of instrument making.

As always, meeting are best enjoyed in person, with the company of other members. If you’re unable to attend in person a Zoom link will be available. Meetings are held at 476 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains NJ 07444.

We will have our usual “Show and Tell” segment. If you have completed a project, have something in process or an interesting technique that you’d like to share with the members, bring it to the meeting. We’ll give each person a minute or two to discuss their work before we turn it over to our planned agenda.

If you’ve just discovered the North Jersey Woodworkers Association and wish to join, there are instruction on how to do so on the website. Simply look under the “Becoming a Member” section on the About NJWA page. The processes is simple and can be completed either electronically or via regular USPS mail. If you’re interested in attending a meeting to see if it’s for you, feel free to show up in person. Date, time and location are on the site. If you’d prefer to try us out via Zoom, send a note to the email address at the top of the main page. Make sure to do so several days in advance of the meeting.
